Skill Gap Demands of the Market
A beautiful school building with a large playground in the front, serene environment with green fields all around. Clean and big classes with smart TVs. Hygienic bathrooms and smiling faces of students all around. Imagining a private school in hills, right. Think again.
Collaborating with Navsanjeevan Social Trust, Jeevan Pravaas conducted a Career Guidance workshop for the students at Swami Vivekananda Vidyalya, Aasde, a small village just 35 Km from Pune.
It was a wonderful feeling for us, interacting with these well behaved, disciplined and happy students with big dreams. The Principal Shinde sir and the School Coordinator Borade sir have been instrumental in creating an environment of holistic learning for the students wherein they not only study academics but play various games and learn useful livelihood skills practically, including modern agriculture methods and futuristic skills such as 3 D Printing etc in their small but a well-equipped Multi Skill Lab, thanks to the funding by Rotary and other nearby industries.
Dedication of silent workers like @YuvrajMoholkar founder #navsanjeenasocialtrust, Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya staff, institutions like Rotary and Corporates pitching in to do their bit, is bringing in a slow and steady change in our education & skilling system in the rural areas. A little more push from the Government and Corporates will go a long way in reaping our rich demographic dividend and building an Atma Nirbhar Bharat in true sense.
